On 13 May 2023, the Digital Intelligence Transformation and Management Innovation Summit Forum was successfully held in Nanjing on the occasion of the 121st anniversary of Nanjing University. The forum was jointly organised by Nanjing University and the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association (CDCA), and co-organised by the School of Management and Engineering of Nanjing University, the Basic Committee of DAB Nanjing University, the People's Government of Gulou District, Nanjing, and the Special Committee on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence of the DAB Provincial Committee. Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of Nanjing University, Mr. Tan Zhemin, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the DAB, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPPCC and Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the DAB, Mr. Hong Huimin, attended the forum and delivered a speech. Wang Hongtao, Executive Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of Nanjing University, Yu Honghai, Dean of the School of Management and Engineering of Nanjing University, and Bian Qing, Chairman of the Basic Committee of DAB Nanjing University, attended the forum. The forum was hosted by Chen Caihua, a member of DAB and Vice Dean of the School of Management and Engineering of Nanjing University.

In his speech, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of Nanjing University, Tan Zhemin, said that building digital China is an important engine for advancing Chinese-style modernization in the digital era and a powerful support for building new national competitive advantages. This forum is an important initiative to jointly implement the spirit of the 20th Party Congress, dovetail with the major needs of Jiangsu's digital transformation, and systematically promote education, talent and research innovation in the digital economy. Nanjing University actively responds to the strategic goal of building Digital China and the major needs of digital transformation in Jiangsu Province, continuously improves its ability to dovetail with strategic emerging industries, and strives to contribute the wisdom and strength of NUIST to the intelligent transformation.

Hong Huimin, Vice Chairman of the DAB Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairman of the DAB Jiangsu Provincial Committee, said in his speech that in recent years, Jiangsu has continuously stimulated the potential of the digital economy in its high-quality development, and the scale of the province's digital economy has exceeded 5 trillion yuan in 2022, gradually forming a good situation in which digital industrialization and industrial digitization promote each other. In the future, Jiangsu DAB will build the digital economy research as a brand of political participation work, and actively participate in and promote the idea of digital economy. With the accelerated construction of a new pattern and ecology of digital economy in Jiangsu, it will surely make greater contribution to the new practice of Jiangsu in comprehensively promoting Chinese-style modernization.

Qian Zhixin, former director of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and an expert in digital economy, and Sun Jianjun, professor of the School of Information Management of Nanjing University and special professor of the Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education, delivered wonderful keynote speeches on the topics of strengthening the construction of digital force, activating the potential of data elements, and helping the high-quality development of digital economy.

The forum brought together many elites from the education, science and technology and business sectors in Jiangsu Province to learn and discuss issues and trends in digital development and construction, digital intelligence transformation, and enterprise management under the digital trend, providing a good platform for promoting in-depth cooperation between government, industry, academia and research. Associate Professor Li Jingquan, Associate Professor Li Min, Associate Professor Liu Fan and students Xu Haoyang and Hu Haoran from the 2023 Industrial Intelligence and System Integration Experimental Class participated in the forum. The success of this forum is of great significance for the university and the college to further enhance the ability to serve the national and regional economic and social development, to promote the digital construction, intelligent drive and economic development of Jiangsu, as well as to promote the cultivation of talents of intelligent reform and digital transformation.
