Since the founding of SME, its faculty has published numerous papers, ranking among the top in similar disciplines at Nanjing University in terms of the number of high-quality papers per capita. From 2014 to 2018, the faculty published nearly 700 papers on core journals at home and abroad, including 6 highly cited ESI papers. Nearly 550 papers of the rest were SCI, SSCI, EI, or CSSCI papers, published on top Chinese and international journals including Operations Research, Production and Operation Management, Mathematical Programming, Transportation Research-B，IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Journal of Management Sciences in China, Economic Research Journal, and Acta Automatica Sinica.
