By contacting Cover It! Designs, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions.
Cover It! Designs will design the author’s book cover for a fee as per our Pricing section at coveritdesigns.net
The author is paying for the design of one book cover design, provided as high resolution .jpeg files to use for their book, and a high resolution print-ready .pdf file for the paperback.
Also provided is an audiobook cover, a 3d render of the cover, one Facebook cover, and transparent .png files of the book title as it is on the cover for author’s promotional efforts.
The Design Process
Author will contact Cover It! Designs via contact form, e-mail or Facebook, supplying the information necessary for the design process.
Author will be provided with a first draft within 14 (fourteen) days. If the author likes the first draft, Cover It! Designs will start making changes for it to perfectly match what the author has envisioned. If the author does not like the draft, they will be provided with one more additional draft.
If neither of these drafts are to author’s liking, Cover It! Designs may decide to keep trying (this will mostly depend on the feedback provided by the author regarding the design) or cancel the project.
Once the author has approved of the draft, and changes are started on, all drafts designed prior will not be worked on. If the author wishes to continue with a different design, they will be charged 50% of the full price for the work already done before moving on to the next.
The author is allowed to request as many changes as needed, within reason, to their chosen draft.
Within reason means fine tuning different elements of the cover, such as fonts, colours, composition.
A complete redesign is off the table.
If, after work for the author has already been done by Cover It! Designs, they decide to go with a different artist: 1. the author will be charged a flat fee of $49.99 for work already done if there was only a single draft cover sent; 2. full fee of $149.99 if there have been changes made to the first draft at all.
Once the final design has been approved, the author will be sent an invoice via Paypal.com as per our Pricing section at coveritdesigns.net
Upon payment, the author will be provided files as follows: high resolution .jpeg files sized to match all major retailers; high resolution .jpeg and .pdf paperback wrap; low resolution files for web use; audiobook cover, 3d render of their book cover; Facebook cover; transparent .png files of their title both in colour and in black/white.
Any changes after the final files have been created will be charged for.
Creation of any additional files will be charged for.
All payments are final and non-refundable.
Upon payment the author is granted the exclusive license to use the files provided for their book as well as any marketing materials for the book.
The author or a third party may not alter the cover design in any way whatsoever.
The author may not provide the files to a different artist to alter in any way whatsoever.
The author may hire a different artist to create a matching cover (within reason) for the following book in a series that Cover It! Designs designed the cover for.
The transparent .png files may be provided to a different artist for the purpose of creation of promotional material only.
The author may not use or share any non-approved drafts in any way whatsoever.
Once the author approves the final design, they agree they are satisfied with it as-is. Any changes after the final files have been created will be charged for as per our Pricing section at coveritdesigns.net.
If the author wishes, Cover It! Designs can purchase stock photo(s) and other resources to use in their projects.
Author agrees that any stock photo(s) or any other resources provided by Cover It! Designs will be used within its respective license.
Generally, this means that the author will not exceed 250,000 print impressions, and 500,000 digital impressions.
Author agrees not to use the finished design on any merchandise for sale.
If the author wishes, an extended license can be purchased that covers more impressions (both print and digital), as well as being able to manufacture their own merchandise.
